I write this blog entry with a heavy heart. Over the weekend, I lost a dear friend who meant a great deal to me, in a boating accident. Although I'm sad he's gone, I also think about the things I learned from his friendship.
The biggest thing I learned from Cory was to act now. Not "I'll think about getting around to it" or a half-hearted effort, but a "I will act NOW and I will give it my all without holding back" type of effort, which is what is required if we want to achieve anything great in life.
Whether it's repairing a broken relationship with your spouse, spending more time with your child, rekindling a relationship with a once good friend, finally deciding you want to pursue your dream job (which could mean a lot of unknown risk on your part), or making the decision to pay off your credit card debt.
The time to act is now. Not tomorrow. Not when things are completely lined up and in order. Now.
If your health is something that's still important to you, and you want to start taking steps to live life to the fullest and to no longer have pain from holding you back from what you want to do in life, then act NOW, and call me at Active ChiroCare to take the first step.
Finally, here is one of my favorite quotes on acting NOW. Read these words slowly, and see if they are true of you:

Act Now and Start Living
I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person.
